Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane or Edouard Mendy – who will be the African footballer of the year? The answer will be known tomorrow. It was known that Salah and Mane would be in the top three. It was to be known who would be in the top three with these two. Today it became known that Chelsea goalkeeper Mendy, who won the African Nations Cup for Senegal along with Sadio Mane, is with these two. Mendy, who has had an amazing season for Chelsea, also played brilliantly in the African Cup of Nations.

Salah and Mane also spent the last season well for Liverpool. Egyptian forward Salah, however, was ahead of Mane in goals in club football. Salah played 51 matches for Liverpool last season across all competitions. In addition to scoring 31 goals, he scored 16 goals with his teammates.
Mane also played the same 51 matches as Salah for Liverpool. In addition to scoring 23 goals, he scored 5 goals with his teammates. However, Mane was on the field for less minutes than Salah.

Although Salah had a good last season in club football, it means that he will be a little ahead in the race for the African Player of the Year because of the African Nations Cup. Salah beat Egypt in a tiebreaker to give Senegal the title. He scored 3 goals in the tournament.

Who will win the prize in the end is now a matter to be seen.
