Parliament on Tuesday passed the ‘Chattogram Port Authority Bill’ consolidating harder punishment for contaminating climate in the port region, reports UNB.
State Minister for Shipping, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, moved the bill in the House and it was passed by voice vote.
The regulation likewise nullified the Chittagong Port Authority Ordinance, 1976 as it was proclaimed during a tactical system.
According to the regulation, the discipline for hurting the climate by contaminating water, land and drift will be fixed according to the climate protection regulation.
